As you can see from the above photo 75% of the restoration work is now complete. the bell/becon has been moved. the Bedford type indicators have been replaced with 1950/60's type, number plates switched from front to back. bumber colour change.
The above 3 photos show work been carried out on the wooden cab , and to replace the ladder gantry onto the roof.

MIH 989 Landrover Fire Armour 1961 Landrover S11 Bodywork by Fire Armour . 9 George Street London.Des Durkin and Martin Thompson restored this landrover L4P in 2007.
If we brought a few more lads we could just lift it up and carry it outside
Well we got it out and loaded,
The Finished job..................well worth it.!
MIZ 124 Bedford TK HCB/Angus ex Ballina .....roof over lockers was rotton and had to re- replaced.
My 2 helpers are still helping on other projects 12 years on.........

1974 Carmichael Commando. It is one of 2 bought by Aer Rianta, one for Dublin Airport and one for Cork Airport. The Dublin one was sold on to Galway Airport and was written off after an accident. Restored by John Finnegan Dublin Airport Fire Service
